OUR SERVICES
Discover pediatric therapy services and start the journey towards achieving your child's goals
When my son began OT at Meaningful Movements Therapy, nearly everything was a struggle. Everyday tasks like transitions, focusing, sensory, and sharing were a challenge. Many tasks that he tried to complete would frustrate him and end with a melt down. Since starting OT with Mrs. Bentley, she has shown so much patience and compassion with my son. She has helped him become more independent, confident, manage his sensory issues, and capable of expressing his needs and concerns while completing fun activities like obstacle courses, crafts, feeding activities and games. She has also helped me as a parent with providing me with education and resources that allow for me to help make his home environment less frustrating and more accommodating for his needs.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is focused on assisting your child when their appropriate developmental milestones are delayed or when there is a disability that may affect their overall development. Not all individuals who benefit from occupational therapy have a disability.
Speech Language Therapy
A new service at Meaningful Movement, we are thrilled to be able to offer speech language therapy to your child. Speech therapy is for children who have difficulty understanding or expressing language and/or pronouncing letters or words. This therapy can be effective when addressing speech impediments, language difficulties, and developing proper speaking techniques.
Animal-Assisted Intervention
Honey, our 5 year old golden retriever, is certified through Alliance of Therapy Dogs and she loves to help your children succeed. With parent permission, she participates in animal assisted interventions during sessions such as holding objects, retrieving objects, managing her collars and bows for fine motor skills, and even following a recipe to create treats for her!
Children have overcome fears of dogs while working with Honey, have grown to be more confident, and are almost always more motivated for therapy when Honey is actively engaged in our interventions!
Bottle Feeding
We assist in infant-based bottle feeding if your baby has difficulty latching, finding the right bottle nipple, has poor weight gain, or takes an extended time to finish bottles.
Sensory-based Feeding
Children with avoidant mealtime behaviors, restricted diet, or picky eaters may benefit from sensory-based feeding. Meaningful Movement uses play-based, sensory-focused methods to help children expand their repertorie of foods.
Sensory Processing
Many children process sensory information differently either requiring more or less of certain stimulation. Too much or too little or certain sensory information can even be overwhelming and upsetting for children. Occupational therapists are experts in targeting sensory deficits through sensory-based activities tailored to your child, parent education, and even recommendations for adaptations.
Reflex Integration
We are each born with automatic movements that happen as a result of something else (ie a baby closing their hand when you put your finger in their palm). When these don’t go away or “integrate” in the appropriate time frame, lingering reflexes may cause underlying deficits such as inattention, poor coordination, visual difficulties, handwriting difficulty, and more.
Therapeutic Listening
We have therapists trained in integrated listening systems or “ILS” which focuses on nervous system regulation. Children who may benefit from ILS include but are not limited to children who exhibit anxiety or depression, have a history of trauma, or psychosocial challenges.
